About me
Hello, my name is Jonathan Harris, a freelance web developer currently working for a north London based web development studio called Xanda ltd. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2009 where I studied Computer Network Management and Design. When I am not designing web sites or blogging, I can be found behind my beloved MacBook, building networks or modifying systems.
About my projects
In my spare time I am involved in a number of projects. Unbored is a project that me and an old university friend Jack Clarkson developed together. With both of us finding it hard to find work after finishing university, we teamed up to create Unbored. Unbored is a growing reviews site and at the time of writing is staffed by 8 writers and has geek related content.
I remain an active part of the development of the site, with new features being added on a weekly basis. The site hopes to add a new discussion forum, that has a unified login, enabling users to have one login for comments and the forum.
About this site
The site was originally started in 2007 as an online business card but quickly developed into a portfolio of all the web projects I have worked on.
Today this site is a home to show case of my work and a method of getting in touch with me. The back end of site is powered by a completely customized version of WordPress using the functions.php file to great effect. The site was build from the ground up by me using the powerful web development tool, Coda on my Macbook. The site is hosted on tsoHost.
Coming soon will be a number of scripts released under the open source GPL license that I have written in my time as a web developer and can be used freely thought your sites.
